RIP To all the Friend Zones world wide. Salute.

Stay Schemin… Women trynna FriendZone me!—( dog, I ride for my penis)
Stay Schemin… Women trynna FriendZone me!
—-(dog, I ride for my penis)

Verse 1
Damn. I made a detour

But she won’t suck it. In a zone I’m trynna avoid
My penis get no lovin. Even got me paranoid. (ugh)
Getting side hugs seems to be mandatory.
Pls help me get out of this friend territory! (huh)

I ride for my penis. Dog
I ride for my penis
I slide w/ my penis. dog
I cry for my penis.
Stay Schemin… Women trynna FriendZone me!
(dog, I cry for my penis)

Verse 2
It bothers me when the broads
Get to acting like the frauds.
Guess some girls don’t love you they only love your cars
That’s why I see no need to compete for women like y’all
I just ask’em when u see me, just kill yourself that’s all.
I’d be lying if I say I never wanted nothing.
Our relationshit has changed.
This girl keeps on frontin.
Bk then “when we gon get married” used to be the question
Nowadays I reach for a kiss you say stop incesting.
Bro & sister zone. Places that’ll get you down.
You calling me a fool cuz I wanna fool around.
Be your gay friend. Just to get close
You think K would pull some shit like that? You never know.
Pick you up from the airport when u come in town.
Give u place to stay u already know it’s goin down
Shorty wanna tell me secrets bout her main nigga
I tell her baby you’re too attractive. That nigga is a clown.
Getting FriendZoned has to be a sin
I take no Ellas. I’m trynna get a win.
Take the D stop acting like a lesbian.
(huh)Whatchu mean u only love me as a friend??

Tell that girl u said fuck it
I’m leaving. This is disgusting.
I feel like I’m getting punished
No more taking u out in public
I treated u w/ class, u were my favorite subject
Treated u good & got hugging, you wanted a nigga that’s thuggin
I’m not trynna be cynical
Me and your pussy had sin-to-do
You wanna finish? Fine.
U know I was into you trynna get into you
But let me get my mind off that. Cuz when I get money, she’ll be back trynna brap. go figure. (huh)

BGiddy

Night was goine perfectly
and she was feeling me
I told her baby I got what would make your creamy (your cake cake cake)
but then she stopped me and said bro (bro?), we should stop this now (Oh NO NO!)
I said hold up, i just hit the friend zone no.

Relax And Laugh

Can you believe it? Hell yeah you can believe it. Relax And Laugh is here once again because once again this is another Saturday once again with our regular column hitting your screens once again! Okay, I’ll stop with the continuous repetitions of the word and go with ‘Hulaa Baloo and Howdy Do folks?’ It’s been one hell of a ride for all of us, and coming back I’ve seen hay roll off the streets of this blog a few times now. Of course, the ghost town is about to become inhabited soon so we don’t particularly have to keep fearing the return of phantom sheriffs anytime soon.
But is there really any need to yap on about anything now? No! Relax And Laugh, let’s enjoy!

For this round, xkcd leads the pack, followed by Cyanide & Happiness, Nedroid and Dinosaur Comics. Next time, the list could end up being more diverse and more open. And don’t go claiming round that we own or have any rights to any of this stuff, we’re affiliated only by the giggles and relief we get from them all.

New Music: Ludacris – Jingalin

Disturbing Tha Peace founder Ludacris hits airwave with Jingalin, a raw hip-hop beat based rap song that doesn’t fail to appreciate the bouncing tendencies and reverberative effects the female bum is capable of achieving. Laced with drum beats and the voice of a lady who sexually goes on saying ‘Jingalin’, the song is an attempt (could be seen as that) at re-confirming the female bum, and letting the ladies ‘make it clap’ for as long as possible and to the enjoyment of all. Looking closely at the song art confirms just what has been said, more or less.

The lyrics are pretty basic for an ass clapping song, so there’s little need for your imagination to run wild. This is a club banger quite all right, but besides that obvious fact My Chick Bad does a better job of gratifying the female physique as a whole. Jingalin is the lead single off his soon to be released 2012 album Ludaversal, and there are high hopes from me that the other songs won’t be as plain as Jingalin.

Wii U specs: Nintendo reveals them

Nintendo had their E3 press conference 2 days ago, revealing new games for their catch-up console the Wii U and their handheld the 3DS. Not long after that, and to the surprise of quite a number of people (me inclusive of course), Nintendo has released the hardware specifications of the Wii U.

The Wii U console measures 46 x 172 x 268.5mm and weighs 1.5kg, which is relatively light. It comes packed with an IBM CPU and AMD Radeon GPU and supports IEE802.11 b/g/n for Wi-Fi with wired option available using the Wii LAN Adapter. The console also has several output ports, including HDMI, Wii D cable, Wii composite, W RBG cable, Wii S Cable and Wii AV cable that supports resolutions up to 1080p (including 1080i, 720p, 480p and 480i). PCM linear audio is also offered via HDMI or analogue sound through AV Multi-Out.
At the event (prior to initial reports) Nintendo let it be known that the Wii U will support 2 Wii U GamePad (which unfortunately reduces game speed), WiiMote or WiiMote Plus (up to four simultaneous connections). The Wii U will also support the Wii U Pro Controller (up to four simultaneous connections). Wii controllers such as the Nunchuk and Wii Balance Board get compatibility love with the Wii U.

The Wii U Pro Controller

Four USB 2.0 inputs are also available for the Wii U, with two on the front and two on the back. SD memory cards and USB storage devices will be supported as well, in addition to the system’s built-in flash memory.
The Wii U GamePad measures 133.4 x 255.4 x 41mm and weighs in at 0.5kg (also light to a degree) and its 19:6 touchscreen is 6.2″ big. It features rumble, a built-in camera and microphone, as well as a sensor bar and NFC read/write functionality.

Wii U Gamepad

Input means include the touchscreen, the L and R analogue sticks (which can be pressed down as buttons), standard D-pad, A, B, X, Y buttons, L, R, ZL and ZR bumpers and triggers, + (Start) and – (Select) as well as motion controls (which are accelerometer, gyro sensor, geomagnetic). There’s also the Power button, Home button, Sync button, volume regulator (for the Gamepad’s audio output) and the TV control button.
Battery life for the Wii U Gamepad has been revealed to be between 3-5 hours, depending of course on the brightness of the screen. Recharging it (with the included AC adapter) will take approximately two and a half hours, and it can be played while it is charging.

E3 2012 Round up: Nintendo

Coming in a little late due to reasons such as tests and certain duties, here is Nintendo’s E3 round-up

Nintendo had their press conference after seeing the performance of Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft. That means more time to evaluate certain things and reconstruct certain lines. Maybe they had a chance to change a few things, or maybe they didn’t. Either way, Nintendo started off somewhat strong start but ended on a rather tepid note. Here is the good, the childish and the just plain what-the-hell of the press conference.

The first game to be shown was Pikmin 3 for the Wii U, featuring new rock Pikmin. The last Pikmin to have been made by Nintendo was in 2004, and this announcement brought excitement to adorers of the game.

What came up next was also a Wii U title, New Super Mario Bros U. Gameplay shown featured the same side-scrolling adventures as in New Super Mario Bros 3DS and New Super Mario Bros. Not a very creative formula on their part. It will support up to 4 players at once and a mode called Boost Mode which is utilized with the use of the Wii U Gamepad.

A new Scribblenauts title, Scribblenauts Unlimited will be gracing the Wii U as well; this one boasting to provide unlimited possibilities with creations.

A Karaoke style game from FreeStyle games was also announced for the Wii U, with the purpose of bringing people together through melody.

New Super Mario Bros 2 for the 3DS was announced, with an emphasis on more gold coins.
Ubisoft’s Just Dance 2 will be appearing on the Wii U, with gameplay and dancers given view time at the event.

A new and exclusive title, ZombiU was shown, providing a look at how useful and integrated the Wii U Gamepad is with the games mechanics… from sniper scopes to pressing keypads while the TV screen has the camera facing elsewhere.

Wii Fit U was announced and a little bit of gameplay shown. Wii fit U can be played with a Wii Board, which was expected. Also, there’s full-on integration with the Wii U Gamepad.

Lego City Underground, an exclusive for the Wii U, was also announced and showcased. The games characters and environments consist of, and are made entirely of (you guessed it), Lego.

Nintendo ended it all with its new virtual themepark Nintendo Land, featuring several minigames inspired by games such as Zelda, Luigi’s Mansion and the original Donkey Kong.

E3 has closed its major doors, but that doesn’t mean the gaming fun stops there. All we’ve seen are teasers, bits and some gameplay. In the coming weeks more information will either leak, trickle out or gush forth for all of us to gulp, and we’ll continue to update and bring them in as we learn about them.
On a side note, we would like to show some appreciation to those who helped us spread the word. Following wasn’t exactly easy, but it was fun and entertaining. Expect more gaming news, videos and/or screenshots in the weeks ahead.

E3 2012 Round up: Sony

Another successful press conference (and in reality a rather better one) as Sony rounded up their conference approximately 4 am GMT (10 pm PST). Sony started out with a skit of games, hitting viewers with proof that they were here mainly for the games and then the innovations would follow later. Notable things that were absent at the press conference were a PS4 and Kevin Butler, but with what we were given the PS4 can wait a few more months (or even a year and a half). This probably won’t apply but nevertheless let’s see the good, the childish and the just plain what-the-hell of Sony’s press conference.

Sony opened the floor for us with an exclusive title from the makers of Indigo Prophecy (Fahrenheit to some) and Heavy Rain developer Quantic Dream called Beyond: Two Souls. The game, like Heavy Rain, will have much emphasis on story narrative and motion capture, as Ellen Page plays the main character.

After that, we were shown 2 new goodies for the PS Vita. The first being a Call of Duty title (CoD: Black Ops: Declassified) – with dual sticks a First Person Shooter shouldn’t be a problem on the Vita…

The second was a new Assassin’s Creed game (AC: Liberation), this time staring a female assassin. It is set  within the same time period as Assassin’s Creed III, though not much else is known about the title. It will also come bundles with the first white PS Vita in North America.

Sony showed us their new innovation called Wonderbook, an interactive book that works by reading in front of a Playstation Eye camera, bringing the book to life with animations on a TV screen. The first in the Wonderbook series, Book of Spells created by Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling showed the use of a Playstation Move to create spells, among other things. This innovation of course, is aimed more at kids than the other demographic.

God of War: Ascension saw some screentime, with new mechanics such as mid-air juggles, newer attacks like using enemies’ weapons against them and of course the delightful graphics shown to all. A notable fact is that Ascension is PS Vita bound.

The Last of Us was the final setpiece in Sony’s press conference. From the creators of Uncharted and the once fabled Jak and Daxter franchise, The Last of Us from Naughty Dog showed gameplay footage letting us know just how brutal, intense and captivating it can be.

That about rounds it up for Sony’s conference. The exclusives have shown to be games we should look forward to, and with the list of PS+ free games (we’ll see about that getting the list soon) and the free one year subscription to PS+ for the audience, Sony got people hooked in and closed with an impressive stand.
Just one more press conference remains, and that is Nintendo’s. Remember to follow the hashtag #DancilE3 when it begins, we’ll be tweeting about it.

E3 2012 Round up: Microsoft

E3 has officially begun (as you all are very well aware of) and Microsoft has officially ended their press conference to the world. While there were impressive innovations in the conference, twitter timelines habited tweets from several gamers being rather disappointed with the whole event (Detanfy for one, considering his fanboyism and all). Regardless of all that, here’s the round-up on all things Microsoft; the good, the childish and the just plain what-the-hell.

Microsoft opened their conference with Halo 4, showing a trailer and some gameplay to boot. Below is a 5 minute Gameplay preview. We get to see Master Chief in action fighting some cybernetic enemies

Then came a new Sam Fisher title in the moniker of Splinter Cell: Black List. Sam Fisher looks to be more on the warfront than in the shadows with this new one. Looks good. Check the trailer below:

We were given a looksie into FIFA 13 and Madden NFL 13, both sporting Kinect voice integration; enabling us all to finally shout at the referee and have a reason to do so. This particularly looks great. Check out footage of Fifa 13 below:

Gears of War: Judgment, apparently a prequel to the Gears of War story was shown, sporting more impressive graphics. Knowing what Gears has been delivering, we can expect something rather nice from this title.

Smart Glass, a new innovation from Microsoft that connects your devices together, devices you probably already own I should add, was showcased… with the benefits of streamlined Microsoft devices pointed out. Devices used were an Xbox, a tablet and a phone (with support for more).

Check out some great Smart Glass previews below

Ascend: New Gods, an exclusive title for the 360 showed little detail besides some gameplay. Nothing much to report on that end

The new Tomb Raider, from Crystal Dynamics got view time in Microsoft’s conference. The new Tomb Raider looks fantastic, although it seems to draw a lot of inspiration from the popular Uncharted series. Check out this wonderful gameplay below

Resident Evil 6 was shown, giving us a look at gameplay and confirming (yet again) the presence of Leo and Chris, two of our favorite RE protagonists. Gameplay showed RE taking a turn for action thriller; seems the survival horror part has left town for a bit.

An exclusive, Southpark The Stick Of Truth was shown with Southpark creators Matt and Trey taking the stage to give us the lowdown on the title (without using teleprompters too).

Dance Central 3 will be gracing the 360, and Usher got invited to dance for the audience.. though we’re not too sure if that’s how we’ll play the game exactly.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II premiers on the 360, with drone controls, jet fighters and a war-torn Los Angeles with lots of explosions to boot. This one, unlike Black Ops which was set during the Cold War, is set in the future (MW3′s most likely)

And thats about it for all the relevant news that came from Microsoft this year.  Overall it was a slightly underwhelming showcase, but at least they previewed and focused mainly on games. Theys tuck to their strengths but didn’t go all out.

As always, make sure to follow the #DancilE3 hashtag on Twitter to keep up to date. We’ll be doing some very intense tweeting when Sony kicks off their press conference.

ELECTRONIC ENTERTAINMENT EXPO 2012

Before we start with this post, I would like us all to have a moment of silence, or at least acknowledge and pray for the families of the victims involved in the horrific event that befell the country on the 3rd of June 2012, where more than 150 lives were lost in a crash involving a plane setting about three buildings on fire after the plane crashed into a residential area in Lagos. Our thoughts sincerely go out to those who know anyone that was on the plane, and we pray greatly that you be comforted in this time of mourning. May the departed souls of the passengers Rest In Peace.

It’s here again folks! The Electronic Entertainment Expo (or E3 as we’ve all come to know it as) is here again, giving the gaming giants the opportunity to showcase what they have in store for us in the coming months (and maybe even years) to come.
E3 2012 is here people, and we at Dancing Silhouettes are definitely excited about it all. It’s definitely going to be a big one; Nintendo will give us more props on its new console the Wii U, and we get to see if the rumours about a Playstation 4 and a new Xbox (which has been codenamed Durango so far) will be true or will be another one of them run-o’-the-mills things. Either way, that doesn’t bother us much, as we will be covering the event for those who wouldn’t mind a bit of info from it. So here’s how it’ll go…

On twitter, Detanfy and yours truly will be watching the event (we aren’t going to be there LIVE unfortunately, but with time we kinda see that happening) and will be tweeting what’s happening and all that. But how do you know what to follow? Well, our tweets will be decorated with the hashtag #DancilE3, so look out for that if you’re looking for any info. We would have tried facebook as well, but numerous status updates don’t go too well with FB, and hashtags don’t have functions there either.
At the end of it all, we’ll dole out a round-up post of what’s what, which will be shared zealously for all to see. Expect several links that may lead to several links too, because it’s all about gathering the info that is very much enjoyable.
Of course, this doesn’t mean you just have to look and read, retweeting also helps spreading the word, and our other writers will lend a hand with that whenever they can. Of course we’d definitely appreciate our readers doing that… after all it’s all about more heads am I right?

The schedule for E3 2012 is as follows (with time conversions of course)

Remember, the place is going to be twitter.
The hashtag to look out for is #DancilE3
And the people following the event, Detanfy – @suburban_muse
Myself, Phylix – @pc_ib
And we’re so jolly, we’ll follow if you can lend a hand for the whole thing!

First Impressions: Eureka Seven AO

Eureka Seven: AO is the next major anime from Studio BONES  (there have been a few other shows from BONES in between, some Phylix loved)- and allegedly a direct sequel to the 2004-2005 anime epic Eureka Seven: Pslams of the Planets. First of all, full disclaimer, the original Eureka Seven is bar none, my absolute favorite anime of all time. I love the original with all my heart. Its perfection as far as I’m concerned, so hearing that there will be a direct sequel left me with mixed emotions; on one hand: “YAY! Eureka Seven is continuing”, but on the other hand “Oh God, these people are gonna milk the cow and ruin a perfect, neatly wrapped storyline”. Suffice to say, Eureka Seven: AO has a lot to live up to and it has already been judged in comparison to the original just because of AO’s nature as a sequel. That said, I’m going to go into this First Impressions with as little bias as possible, but I will be making the occasional comparisons to the original show based on continuity and storyline details.

Chicks Dig Giant Robots

Eureka Seven AO tells the story of a mysterious boy named Ao Fukai who lives on an island that’s fighting for its independence, with his adopted grandfather and his best friend, a sickly girl named Naru. One day there is a Scub Burst- a natural and fairly standard occurrence in this world- and a mysterious creature known as a “Secret” or “G-Monster” emerges from the Scub Burst. In an effort to protect the Island village that hates and fears him for being a foreigner who brings disaster, Ao pilots a mysterious, special IFO mech known as the Nirvash Mark I and defeats the G-Monster. Ao gets recruited into this group known as Generation Blue and he begins to battle G-Monsters while trying to find out what happened to his mother, a mysterious woman- revealed to be Eureka herself from the original series- who fell out of the sky and landed on the island.

Is everyone still with me? Great!

So far the show has been great. The characters are well established this early into the story and you get a real feeling that they are all complex characters with their own unique morals and internal conflicts. Ao, Naru, The islanders who just want their independence, the Generation Blue Team and a host of others have been well executed so far. It needs not to be said that the animation is top notch, this being a Studio BONES production and all. Everything seems great on paper, but it’s actually not. Where the show starts to fall apart is the storyline; frankly, if you have seen the original, AO seems like a giant pile of plot holes that impede on your ability to enjoy the show at all. Firstly, the show seems to take place in modern day earth; notable countries like Japan and the United States referring to themselves by name.

The original show took place 10,000 years in the future, after the Scub Coral had covered the entire planet, and left the original Earth perfectly preserved underneath the Scub encrusted shell . If this show is indeed a sequel that happens AFTER the original series, then this is a huge contradiction. It couldn’t have been up to 20 years since the original show ended and half the Scub Coral left the planet. You’re telling me, in that time, humans have all moved back to Earth and the cultures that have been lost & forgotten for over 10000 years are instantly picked up again? In the original series, the humans didn’t even know they were on (a Scub Coral encrusted) Earth. It really just seems like AO doesn’t take place in the same universe. I floated a wild theory that the show takes place 10000 years in the past, right around the time that the Scub coral originally landed on Earth, before humans fled the planet wondering about in space for 10 millenniums. Maybe Eureka time travelled and gave birth to her son Ao in the past. It’s a wild theory, I know, but it would explain a lot of things, like why most of the IFO mechs seem to be completely mechanical instead of hybrid machine/Coralian Archetype we have in the original series or why I haven’t seen a single Ref Board or Trapar Lifter around. It would pretty much explain every frustrating inconsistency with this show so far. So it’s a sequel that’s also a prequel. That’s walking into paradox territory, and time travel isn’t something so simple that can be toyed with. Besides the frustrating inconsistencies, Eureka Seven AO has been otherwise fantastic as a self-contained show. The only other major gripe I have so far is the villain, this douche le pleb named “Truth”. Apparently he can shape shift, invade people’s dreams and cause spontaneous explosions. He is a typical anime over powered villain with that “I know something the good guys don’t know and walk around with a smirk on my face all the time” swagger. All he does is walk around blowing shit up with his fabulous hair. This guy is like a poor man’s version of the magnificent villain turned anti-hero “Accelerator” from “A Certain Magical Index”.

Ao, piloting the Nirvash Mark I

Eureka Seven Ao started out with magnificent promise and it’s otherwise delivered on all counts. The extremely frustrating inconsistences with the continuity are a bit jarring and make it difficult to fully enjoy the show, especially if you are looking for a continuation of the storyline from Psalms of the Planets, but that aside, E7:AO truly is a great anime, with engaging characters, compelling conflicts, fantastic animation, pulse pounding action scenes and a whole lot of potential. Let’s just hope the inconsistences in the storyline are smoothed out soon.

In any case, I’m just glad to have Eureka Seven back in my life. Welcome home, Eureka. I’ve missed you.

Foot Note:  You might want to check out the series “X’amd: The Lost Memories”. It’s considered the spiritual successor of the original Eureka Seven and so far as proven to be more befitting of that title.
