Seems Fall is a nice time of the year as more and more production companies are pinning their releases during the Fall season. While there’s the possibility that promises could be broken and dates pushed, it’s still nice to know that there’s quite a number of things to expect. Another gaming company has dropped a shell, and it’s the company that’s responsible for our favorite blue hedgehog, Sega. During Sega’s Comic-Con event, it was announced that a Dreamcast port of the popular Sonic Adventure 2 will be hitting PSN and XBLA. This could be a HD remake, or a direct port; but knowing how these things work it’s most likely going to be a HD remake. Either way, that doesn’t change the fact that we get to control Sonic and Shadow on our PS3s and Xbox 360s sometime later this year.
The video below, courtesy of Joystiq, is from the event. And it features a lot of screaming fans. A HUGE lot at that. If I was in the crowd I sure as hell would have screamed so loud I’d need half a dozen cups of tea later on.

Sonic Adventure 2 heading to consoles this Fall
First Footage For Adventure Time’s 3DS Game
A lot of us are very familiar with, and completely adore, Pendleton Ward’s hit series on Cartoon Network Adventure Time; what with it’s mix of fantasy laced with child-like glee and lots of humour both in the light and dark side of the coin. So it shouldn’t be surprising that a game is being made out of it. Called Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d You Steal Our Garbage?!! (which is a long and somewhat lame name I have to say), the game follows our heroes Jake the dog and Finn the human as they chase after the Ice King, who stole their garbage apparently because he wants to make a princess out of it. This plot is well… compared to the story plots wrapped around individual episodes of the show and the underlying story points that get looked at again later in the series, the plot of this game is well…
Footage of the game has been released by WayForward, showing a side-scrolling platformer experience as well as top-down navigating sections reminiscent of 8-bit games of old (some Final Fantasy titles could come to mind). It’s good to see Jake’s magic powers and Finn’s sword doing nice work there, and the Cosmic Owl and Giant Worm King are also present in the game. You should remember the Giant King Worm from the episode Marceline returns to the treehouse to reclaim it.
Finn and Jake’s new adventure in the land of Ooo is expected to hit shelves Fall 2012. Shmow-zow!
Jak and Daxter, Cole McGrath join Playstation All-Stars roster
Lovers of brawl all over and most especially adorers of the several exclusive and yet wonderful franchises Sony has spun up over the years should get psyched. Sony has let it be known that Jak and Daxter of the Jak and Daxter franchise by Naughty Dog and Cole McGrath from Infamous will be gracing the character selection roster of the new brawler Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale.
McGrath of course is coming in with his badass lightening moves and several new skills from Infamous 2. Jak and Daxter will have their skill set as well as their weapons, including the Gyro Burster and Mass Inverter. That’s badassery if you’re looking for it. The character trailers even show Jak entering Dark mode; a mode introduced in Jak 2: Renegade when you gather enough Dark Eco. There’s even a show (if I’m right) of his Light mode -introduced in Jak 3- close to the end of the video. Check them out below.
