It’s been one heck of a road trip so far, and what’s a boy to do but just try and relax after all the nauseating bumps and headache inducing circumstances? Am I right or am I right?
For those of us pretty mad at how PTM got cut off all of a sudden, we are sincerely sorry for how things sorta changed. I believe our Overlord made the events clear to you all (even though it was somewhat cynical at best), so you should know our hands were pretty much tied together. For those excited to finally see PTM up again, I’m glad.

What’s up people? It’s been a while hasn’t it? Yeah, yeah… it’s school that’s had me on a tightrope. Exams are slowly getting closer and preparations are gradually getting more hardcore, so the time to spare for some other hobbies and activities is getting cut off minutes by minutes. Hulaa Baloo and Howdy Do! Hope you guys have been doing great. Apologies for the lack of content and blackout in the last 2 days. Things To Come This Week

It’s another week mes amigos, and Summer 2012 is still on; even though it’s been having some lapses here and there. Who knew Summer would get so busy right? Right…
Anyhoo, I’m not here for small talk, oh no not at all. I’m here to give a little lowdown on the events to transpire this week on Dancing Silhouettes. While not many of you are expecting much, what is certain to hit pages is worth some view time.

Remember the earlier mention of an original story Passage Through Midnight? Yeah? Well, the first installment hits today, with the highest likelihood that an installment hits everyday. Yep, you read that right… EVERYDAY. I like emphasizing things, sue me.
Besides that fact, another bit of news we mentioned earlier will also grace screens. And this time I’m talking about guest pieces. That’s right… after hunting down several people and locking up nay-sayers (just kidding) we’ve got some guest piece content to show you guys all. And like the previous guests pieces we’ve had (which you can read here and here) we’ll link you up to the author, subsequently giving all credit to the original creator. We don’t steal articles, we’re a community! :D
We expect to get hit with some more gaming news, release dates, trailers and some things like that… hell we could even throw in some normal news just for y’all to enjoy. The last time we did something like that Phylix was probably high.
Poems. Yes, poems. Where would this blog be without our Poet and his poems? It’d be in a poem-less place right now. Poems are very likely to hit Dancil pages, so those who adore lyrical embroidery can have some hope that we’ll be getting something soon enough.

Am I missing any other thing? Oh yeah… I’ve been hearing talks of some exclusive interview content, but I can’t tell when that’s hitting us just yet. I have my fingers crossed twice on that one. Don’t forget to follow us on twitter (follow-backs included I think) AND Like Us on facebook so you can keep abreast of what’s being published (I’m demanding like that). Or you can use our facebook badge and like us, because we like you already.

I think I’ve typed enough now. If you will excuse me, I have to go feed my dragon… she’s stealing my cat’s food again.

Third Place Search Spot

It’s nice to know when certain efforts pay off you know… Those little moments when you find out something you’ve been on paid off one way or the other. From beating highscores to acing that test, those moments count no matter how little the victory is.
And that’s why you see this coming up right here people. Yesterday (8th for later reference) I decided to do a little search experiment. Maybe experiment isn’t the right word to call it, considering it’s something I do on a somewhat regular pace. Either way, this experiment of mine is simple;
Enter Google Search and check the words ‘dancing silhouettes’.

Futile exercise considering I’m a writer on the blog and know the URL by heart right? Not so fast.

I do this now and then because I’m checking our page rank to see how far we’ve gone (I’ll get to that in a bit). Other times have given results that made me smile, but this time was rather different…

Yeah… DancilBlog is actually third place (the image search isn’t an entry) on Google Search’s first page if you check the words ‘dancing silhouettes’. That may not be that big a deal on first base, but those with a little knowledge and understanding about page ranks would know that in some ways (if not a lot), this is sort of a big deal.
This best way I can put it is this; there are several, and I mean several ventures and sites that are either named dancing silhouettes, or have something to do with dancing silhouettes, or have it as a subheading or something like that, and out of them all Google considers us (DancilBlog) relevant enough for a ‘dancing silhouettes’ search to have us in the third spot; especially after our rough patch and same Google flagging us as malicious sometime back.
Of course, it’s not all Google; we’re at that spot mainly because of you guys. Our readers, viewers, commenters, favorites and even our stalkers (boosha).

Even with us sounding like a broken record over how our plans get sour-pussed over the plans of higher ups (we’re talking relatives, work and school here people, not destiny) you still stick by, click, read and tweet/share from the site. Is appreciation in order? Oh yeah. You guys are awesome. How many more times do I have to say it? As many times as the need arises. So get used to it somehow.
