Journey Through Magnolia’s Grounds

vlcsnap-2012-12-18-20h19m19s242

Anyone who’s been following the blog (and let’s face it, that’s everyone right right?) will remember my earlier post about how I was taking Fairy Tail and what it has had in store for me over the past hours I had spent in its stead. Now, 126 episodes in and I deem it fit to create a sequel to that original post. 126 episodes.. can you believe it? That’s incredible!
If you remember well, when I wrote the first post on Fairy Tail there were about 130 episodes for the show, and I had a milestone of covering over 100 episodes to reach my eternal goal. Now currently anticipating the next move of 127, I have 34 episodes left before I reach the latest (which is 160 if you’re counting) before I can shift base to another alleyway and see what that has in store for me.
So what’s the dealio? 127 episodes and I’m here to share with you some of the things I’ve noticed in the lands of the Fairy Tail wizards. I should warn you all that spoilers abound in probably every paragraph, but I’l be as subtle as possible so I don’t give out just about everything that is going to happen. Plus, to make it easier on you I’m going to hypnotize you into thinking these are teasers so you’ll want to watch the episodes. And for whoever it may concern, I spent a chunk of time laughing my butt off watching a YouTube channel at 1:57 am before I went back to writing this. So here we go!

Anime View

Keep-Calm-And-Watch-Anime

Approximately 53 days left before we say bye-bye to the year 2012. Of course, there are 2 ways we could say goodbye. We could either say it while entering 2013… or we could say it when the Mayans eventually prove us all wrong for disproving their calender theory; which I bet will be a field day for them as they do tootsie rolls in their graves and the world comes to some sort of end.
However, if movies and social media have taught us anything, it’s that there will be survivors to repopulate and do all those stuffs that colonization requires. Considering it’s Mother Nature that will do the destruction, there’s a high tendency that a lot of us will not make it out alive.
But that isn’t too much of a biggie now is it? Because while you wait in anticipation full of despair, there’s a flock of anime to catch up on and new entrants to look forward to. So while you’re thinking of presents to get and checking the goals you achieved this year, I’ll draw the anime-centric perspective in Winter 2012′s anime list. Continue Reading →

Doctor Who Season 7 Trailer

As promised, We now have the very first trailer from the Seventh Season of Doctor Who. The latest series will see many iconic moments for The Doctor, ranging from the departure of Amy & Rory as companions, the subsequent introduction of a new Companion played by Jenna-Louise  Coleman and of course, the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who.

Here is the synopsis:

“The new season will see the last days of the Ponds, with Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill making their final rollercoaster voyage with The Doctor (Matt Smith). Amy (Karen Gillan) and Rory (Arthur Darvill) have been at the Doctor’s side for more than two seasons but what will he do after their heartbreaking departure?

New guest stars so far confirmed to star will include David Bradley, Rupert Graves and Mark Williams. Season 7 will then see a dramatic turn of events when The Doctor meets a new friend – the recently-announced new companion, played by Jenna-Louse Coleman.”

After watching the trailer, I noticed fan favorite actor Ben Browder in a scene as the cowboy saying “Everyone who isn’t American, drop your guns”. Browder played John Chriton in popular Australian-American Sci-fi Series Farscape, a show that I’m very fond of. Browder also played Colonel Cameron Mitchell in the later seasons of Stargate SG-1, another show I’m extremely fond of. I’m excited to see Ben in Doctor Who.

The new season of Doctor Who starts sometime in the second half of this year!

Meet Doctor Who’s newest companion

Meet Jenna-Loiuse Coleman. She’ll be taking over the role of The Doctor’s companion when Doctor Who returns for its Seventh Season later this year.

Series Seven is going to see the exit of Amy Pond-Williams and Rory Williams as the 11th Doctors companions, and Jenna-Louise will step in to fill the role of the doctor’s newest companion. Personally speaking, Amy & Rory will be severely missed. Amy & Rory are arguably the Doctor’s greatest companions, and also the parents of the Doctors wife; their impact on the Doctors life has been monumental. I can’t imagine how Jenna-Louise’ character will top them, but I’m sure she will do an excellent job.

Steven Moffat dropped some hints to Amy and Rory’s final adventure with The Doctor, stating ”Amy and Rory will leave in a final encounter with the Weeping Angels in episode 5. Not everyone gets out alive and I mean it this time.”

UPDATE: Her first official photo

Moffat also teased how Jenna-Loiuse will be introduced into the show and what we can expect from her character:

“It always seems impossible when you start casting these parts, but when we saw Matt and Jenna together, we knew we had our girl. She’s funny and clever and exactly mad enough to step on board the TARDIS.

It’s not often the Doctor meets someone who can talk even faster than he does, but it’s about to happen. Jenna is going to lead him his merriest dance yet. And that’s all you’re getting for now. Who she’s playing, how the Doctor meets her, and even where he finds her, are all part of one of the biggest mysteries the Time Lord ever encounters. Even by the Doctor’s standards, this isn’t your usual boy meets girl.”

The 7th Season of Doctor Who will premiere sometime in the later half of this year. I’m eager to see what adventures The Doctor has in store for us!

Thanks to io9 and BBC for the heads up

The Walking Dead parody: The Laughing Dead

Now that the second season of AMC’s The Walking Dead is over, we can finally look back and laugh at all the horrible decisions that the characters made. The Laughing Dead is a Tumblr blog dedicated to finding and posting various meme’s and funny images related to The Walking Dead.

Here are a few of the brilliant pictures, that Walking Dead fans will no doubt find absolutely hilarious (the lead image above with Carl and the Mud zombie is my personal favorite)

Enjoy the laughs!

At least now we know what (or who) T-Dog was doing all season

And thats it for now. Make sure to check out the rest over at The Laughing Dead Tumblr account. There are loads more there!

Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome Trailer

Here is the trailer for the Battlestar Galactica prequel series, “Blood and Chrome”. The show follows a young William Adama as a fighter pilot in the first Cylon war. Adama is ordered to escort a young woman who has important information about the Cylons that might help turn the tide of the war.

Luke Pasqualino, famous for his role as Freddie from hit British teen drama “Skins” Series is in the central role as a young William Adama.

Latest reports are that the show will be a web series instead of a TV pilot that might launch into a full blown series.  This trailer looks fantastic, action packed and extremely intense, like the BSG we all know and love.

We’ll fill you in on any information about the show, so be on the look out.

The song in the trailer is Immigrant Song by Karen O from The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo OST by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

Below listen to “All Along The Watch Tower” by Bear McCreary from the Battlestar Galactica Season 3 OST

So Say We All!

UPDATE: As expected, the trailer has been taken off Youtube for copyright reasons, but you can still view it HERE
