Kendrick Lamar just dropped the first official single from his debut major label album which is due in stores sometime later this year. The song, titled “The Recipe” samples “Meet the Frownies” by indie rock group Twin Sister and is produced by Scoop Deville. The Recipe also features a very rare guest verse from Dr. Dre. If anything, this song is indication that Kendrick hasn’t compromised his flow, style or content in the process of transferring to more mainstream Hip-hop.
