Soundtrack: Schoolboy Q Ft. A$AP Rocky – Hands on the Wheel

One of the stand out tracks from Schoolboy Q’s just released sophomore album Habits & Contradictions “Hands on the wheel” features A$AP Rocky. Hands on the Wheel is an anthem dedicated to all manner of hedonism; getting as high, faded, wasted and drunk as humanly possible. The song samples folk singer Lissie’s cover of Kid Cudi’s pursuit of Happiness and uses a steady, high energy beat to pass across the songs message of Schoolboy and A$AP’s hedonistic habits. Through out the song you hear Schoolboy declare “Life for me is just weed & Brew” , a mantra almost on par with Drake’s now infamous “YOLO: you only live once”, but taken to another level entirely. Both Schoolboy and A$AP’s flows are impeccable! Its immediately infectious and you’ll be bumping this in the car for a good while.
