Summer is Here!

Hello Dancing Silhouettes faithfuls! Its been a while hasn’t it? I’ve been off on another one of my spontaneous mystical adventures, got caught up in a battle royale or two and freed a few maidens from dragons & such. Typical July for me.  In any case, I’m back to business, sitting comfortably in my captains chair inside the Dancing Silhouettes writers room, over looking our writers as they churn out content for our awesome readers.

I do hope everyone has been having a great week so far, but pleasantries aside, I figured we get right down to business…..

As most of you might know by now, Dancing Silhouettes recently suffered a 2 and a half week blackout, but we are back from the abyss and ready to engage readers with our usual awesome content. In any case, I’m sure you’ve seen our writers using that mysterious #SummerIsComing hashtag in their tweets and you’re all wondering what thats about, well we are in the middle of a full blown sweltering Summer. Our writers are all enjoying their Summers in their own special way.  I know Detanfy is stockpiling TV shows he has been wanting to get into, he keeps mentioning his urge to re-watch The O.C. as well during the Summer; I’m sure he’ll have a blast burying himself in the show and  of course relaying his thoughts and experiences to the readers.

Speaking of Summer plans, our writers are planning some special treats for you readers in the coming months. This Summer will see a host of guests writing fun, engaging articles for our readers. Its a great chance to give a few friends the spotlight and for our readers to get to know a few other cool writers on the blogosphere! Phylix is hard at work on his original story ”Passage Through Midnight”; guaranteed you will be blown away when you read it. Be sure to expect great things sometime in the foreseeable future, ranging from Phylix’ completely original stories to his and Detanfy’s detailed, ongoing journal style reviews of the video games they are burying themselves in during the Summer. Readers should also expect some great original poetry and content from our resident poet Femi aka Proteus92. And of course coverage of albums to look forward to from Passion Pit, Asian Kung Fu Generation, G.O.O.D Music and a host of other buzz worthy artists. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention some of the content that Babse has for you, but we are keeping mum on that angle. He is collaborating with Phylix on something that will be a huge treat for the readers. We’ll let you in on it all very soon.

Things are really gonna heat up this Summer. We have so much original content for you and part of our initiative is to be as immersive with our readers as possible. We plan to offer engaging and interactive discussions among our writers and our reader base as well.  The Dancil collective plans to have a sit down discussion about a few topics, and share with our readers BUT we also plan to have a few discussions WITH our readers too. It should make for an all round fun experience. Everything will be covered this Summer. We already covered the 2012 E3 Electronic Entertainment Expo and we will be covering the 2012 San Diego Comic-con as well and events in the comic book world. Our writers will be sharing some of their Summer adventures with the readers and you can be sure its going to be a very colorful read. We will also have book reviews, movie reviews and most importantly our completely original dancil content; short stories, longer sprawling epic stories, the usual slice of life awesomeness you have come to know Dancil for and our always thought provoking social commentary articles.

This Summer really is looking good. Our writers have been preparing for weeks to get this all organized for you readers and we still have a bunch up our sleeves to surprise and excite the readership! All I can say is grab a cold drink or some ice cream, whatever suits you, listen to some chill music and fire up dancilblog.com this Summer. You are gonna have one helluva blast!
