I’ve been on this music-fueled reading frenzy for some days now, and rap music has a large slot in said frenzy. That’s not to say that other genres aren’t available but that’s besides the point.
You all remember my previous infatuation with Nicki Minaj and how I oh so adored her song, right? Well, here’s another one that’s had me by the ears for quite some time.
It’s about a trend that we all know, hopelessly falling in love with someone and wondering constantly why said person makes us feel small and defenseless to their bright and supposedly harmless charm, in hopes of the person catching you when you faint out of the grand splendour of radiance emitting from said love… (okay, maybe this wouldn’t apply to guys but you get the picture I’m painting). Nicki’s lyrics again got me good in this song, and while some might argue that some lines were pointless I wouldn’t blame them. Overall the effort is well noted and this has become one of my favorite songs from Nicki.
have I mentioned that I repeated the song about 15 times 25 minutes after hearing it for the first time? Yeah, repeat was on.
No official video as of yet, but I leave you with this to groove in the hopeless yet honest realization that is this song..
you have to adore that big smile of hers too
