It’s a great day to be alive, don’t you think? The month of April is finally behind us (and boy am I happy for that simple fact). That means we’re past the first quarter of the year, which like play has been speeding past us all. With all things aside, summer is on the way. That means hot days, glaring suns, more zobo, creamier ice-creams, skimpier dresses, sexier bodies, newer shows and more goals to lay down and achieve. While I leave you all to ponder on what goals you have set in store for yourselves, I’m gonna draw the anime-centric ones to the Summer 2012 list of upcoming anime. From what I’ve seen, it’s not particularly a bad list so far, but I’ve got so much left over I’m not quite sure what and what to pick just yet.

Among the first things I did was to scroll down the Movies section, and it seems a new Naruto movie (Naruto: Road To Ninja) is in the works. He’s looking much older (that could be just the art) and he’s got his dead parents with with. Also, Fairy Tail is having one as well (Fairy Tail: Houou no Miko) and I have to say I’m inclined to check it out, I have been getting ready to join the Fairy Tail bandwagon. Release dates are July and August respectively. Then we’ve got Ame-Agari no Kimi, which I have no idea about. But that looks like a manga page, and that is definitely a zombie’s head. If there’s going to be a zombie movie, then I could go ahead with it. Haven’t had anything zombie in months (maybe a year plus even).
With regards to anime, Kingdom looks to be a pretty good bet. Reminds me so much of Samurai X/Dragonball Z, and those were great shows. Also, the girl on the left reminds me of Azula (The Last Airbender anyone?). La storia della Arcana Famiglia seems to be in the Black Lagoon territory (if you’re not familiar with Black Lagoon, look for it and give it a try), and the synopsis sounds a little along the lines of Fate Zero‘s. Hakuouki:Reimei-roku seems badass just by staring at that art, and the synopsis doesn’t sound cliché as opposed to basic anime with female leads.
I’m not entirely sure if I’ll get to cover these, as I’ve only begun to stack up on Eureka Seven AO (expect some first impressions from Detanfy soon) and I’m still hoping to get on Hunter X Hunter, but with current time constraints I’ll make do with what’s available. What choices are you going for this time? Any here interest you, or are you going to hit last season’s list for more?
